The pizza is a food miracles of
the 21st century. By focusing on quality
ingredients and traditional
methods of production, it
connects firmly with modern ideas
about how food should be prepared
and enjoyed. And of course, it does not hurt that a
pizza can be absolutely delicious!
Wood-Fired Pizza oven are considered "low tech", but very effective. Because of the advanced thermal engineering and materials used in the design and construction of these types of ovens, food can be prepared very quickly. For example, if you cook a raw material, the fully
topped pizza in
an ordinary gas or electric oven can take up to 20 minutes, it can be ready in two to three minutes in this type of pizza ovens in the open.
When cooking a pizza in a Wood-Fired Oven ,
it is important to get the oven properly. This is
done by building a fire inside the furnace
roof. For best results, use smallish
pieces of wood - certainly
not as thick as your wrist.
The objective is to heat the dome as soon as possible, to build a big fire. Each
oven has a different amount of time to get properly
hot, but good advice is to look inside the
dome. At first it will be black
with soot, but it will start to turn white
and then to burn completely.
At this point, the oven temperature is cooking
pizzas. You may
need to keep a fire going a little
longer to really get to spread
the heat throughout the oven. With practice, you will find what works best with your own oven.
